I haven't posted of here for forever! I think this blog is just for me. Ever since moving up to WA have meant to start using it again just so my family blog doesn't get overloaded with pictures. The North west is AMAZING! It's beauty is unrivaled in my book. I have never been outside the U.S. and there are many places in the U.S. I have never been but I truly am grateful for where we are right now in our lives. If I cannot be by family let me me be up in this amazing place! The rain is HARD!!! But let me show evidence of the beauty it brings. It seems as with anything in life it comes with a cost. Here are a few favorites but hardly all of them from places we've seen and things we've done since moving up here last fall. One day I'll catch up on more of the pictures I've taken up here. I have been to a photography class and am trying to learn how to use my camera but I have to confess these pictures were not taken manually. Hopefully by the end of the summer I will have at least learned how to do that and then I"ll really have something to show but for now here is some of the beauty I've seen .. the park by our house in January!

Potlatch Park in Jan
Lake Cushman in the Olympics in Jan.
Pikes Place for Matt and I's birthdays!
Tolmie Park (a favorite in Feb)
The beaver ponds (can't remember the name right now)
Skaggit Tulip Festival (just a few of the many pictures I took)
My two favorite girls!
I think my new favorite place? At least one of them! The Columbia River Gorge - breathtaking over and over again!
And from our first camping trip up above Lake Cushman in the Olympic National Forest (staircase camp ground) It was AMAZING!
(whoops) from a marina during the Clam Chowder Festival
Back to the Olympics!
I love going to all these places with these three! I LOVE taking pictures but I love them much much more! I'm grateful they are so patient with my and my lense. Hoping to visit this summer? The coast (still haven't made it there - too much to do here) maybe Columbia River Gorge again? For sure Mt Rainier (at least once) maybe Skaggit again and the Cascade Loop to name a few. I'm EXCITED! And like I said earlier grateful to be living in such an amazing place where I get to make SO many memories with my family!
